Hola y welcome to East LA Revue.com, my name is Chico Manqueros host of Gozando with Chico.  As many of you have probably already heard, we recently lossed a musical brother….Mr. Isaac Avila.  Isaac was most notably known for his work with the Legendary band Tierra and was their lead singer in the 1990’s and early 2000’s.  Isaac was blessed with a beautiful personality and the ability to mesmerize you with his Musicianship and talent. He was an extremely accomplished guitarist and his sound was a very soulful combination in styles of Jose Feliciano mixed with George Benson. His Vocal talent was really beyond compare…no matter the style…upbeat and swinging or soulful and tender…Isaac was blessed with a tremendous voice. His signature style was suave and soulful.

 

 We have received many requests for Isaac’s music since his passing and we thank you our listeners for your support and recognition of Isaac’s contribution to nuestra musica. Now for you our special musical tribute to Isaac that includes unreleased recordings…his work with his own band, Sal Rodriguez, The Company Band and of course TIERRA…Our hearts and prayers go out to the Avila family and this program is for his friends, familia, fellow musicians and of course his fans.
