Sal Soul Pilot Gomez's show was a sentimental journey back to the 1970s of my youth. A couple of the songs even brought tears to my eyes :'(. Music's just that way... Great songs and commentary related to them. I will definitely be recommending his show to all my familia (and that's alot of raza!!) Thanks Sal !! Love your work :D

Fantastic music played here. I am a new listener and have ELAR saved as a favorite and will share the website on my fb page. I love the 70's and really enjoyed the selections that were played on One Hit Wonders from 1970's Decade, by guest DJ Soul Pilot Radio. Would love to hear other Decades as well. Thank you....

I thoroughly enjoyed Soul Pilot and the One Hit Wonders of the 1970s. He obviously researched the entire decade and give a little history of the music. Ultra Cool!

Muy buenos dias,

Señor Chico, just a quick note to say that we enjoy your show.  On behalf of all your listeners thank you for putting together such a quality program.  The music that is heard on your show is fantastic.  I listen to all the shows on EastLArevue.com over and over.  A friend of mine who lives in Denver told me about your show years ago and that you play a lot of music from Los Angeles. I was pleasantly surprised and quite impressed.  I grew up on this style of music and went to all the dances in ELA and around the area.  My late husband used to play with some bands too, he was a bass player.  My family and I enjoyed your Christmas show, so many great selections. Your music has a lot of soul and rhythm.  It gets people into a happy mood and brings back a lot of memories for those of us who don’t live in Southern California anymore but who grew up there. If possible please play some music from Joe Cuba and Willie Bobo, those are my favorites along with of course Thee Midniters too.

Happy New Years Chico, you are coming in loud and clear here in Mesilla, New Mexico.  We are close to El Paso near the Texas Border.  I have familia that live in San Dimas that turned me onto your show.  You sure play some good music. Can’t find music like yours anywhere on the net.  I tried live 365 but they want you to buy a membership and then there is no DJ talking just music, that what I have an IPOD for ha ha.  There is a guy in El Paso that does a show from the University on Thursday nights, his name is Tony Tellez and he plays some ELA music but not like your mix.  It’s very interesting to listen and then hear who the musicians are on the recordings you play.  Looking forward to a new year with more Gozando with Chico shows and more music pan dulce.
